About this adventure

The Moffett Field Museum sits at the south end of Hangar One inside Moffett Federal Airfield and tells the story of the base and NASA Ames Research Center: aviation, space flight, national defense and Silicon Valley's tech history, through a collection of aircraft, vehicles, artifacts and exhibits. Its World War One exhibit, extended to January 9, 2027, includes a full walk-through trench, rare WWI vehicles and a biplane. Because the museum is on a federal airfield, every adult (18+) must show photo ID at the gate, and U.S. visitors need a REAL ID-compliant license or ID. The south gate at Ellis Street and US 101 is closed on Saturdays. Some map apps list the museum as 500 or 126 Severyns Ave.; look for the address signs across from the orange-and-white checkered water tower.
