About this adventure

Environmental Volunteers opens its EcoCenter on the edge of the Palo Alto Baylands Nature Preserve for free public science days on Friday and Saturday mornings. Families can drop in any time between 10am and 1pm to try hands-on activities built around a monthly topic; October's topic is Spooky Critters, with activities about spiders, snakes and owls. Interactive touchscreens and the Baylands Marshcam are also available to explore, and on Fridays EV notes an open-air display at the Duck Pond with its bird experts. EV staff are on hand to answer questions about the nonprofit's programs and volunteering. No registration is mentioned for these drop-in days.
