About this adventure
Uvas Canyon is a 1,147-acre, heavily wooded county park in upper Uvas Canyon on the east side of the Santa Cruz Mountains, west of Morgan Hill. It offers hiking, tent and group camping and picnicking most of the year, with on-leash dogs allowed. Every vehicle needs a pre-paid day pass reservation every day of the week, including annual pass holders; print the confirmation and put it on the dashboard, because cars without a reservation are turned away. For trail closures, call the county trail hotline at (408) 355-2200 and press 31.
