Seattle's long-running stage version of Charles Dickens's A Christmas Carol returns for its 51st season in the Allen Theatre at Union Arts Center (the downtown theater formerly known as ACT). Ebenezer Scrooge is visited by three ghosts on Christmas Eve and taken through his past, present and future. The show runs 90 minutes with no intermission and is recommended for ages 5 and up with parental discretion: there are images that may frighten young children, plus loud noises, fog, and bright and strobe lights. Accessible performances include an ASL-interpreted and audio-described matinee on Saturday, December 12 at 2 pm and a sensory-friendly performance on Sunday, December 13 at 1 pm, produced with Sensory Access and Seattle Theatre Group. Runs November 27 to December 27, 2026.
