Seattle Center's annual Winterfest, presented by Symetra, runs Nov. 27 through Dec. 31, 2026 on the Seattle Center grounds. The Winter Train & Village, a late-19th-century model train display inside the Armory Food & Event Hall, operates 10am to 6pm daily, and visitors can operate the train from 10:30am to 5:30pm (donations accepted); a scavenger hunt starts at the Train Station. An Ice Sculpting Series takes place Saturdays at noon at the Mural Amphitheatre. Symetra Movie Nights are free holiday film screenings in the Armory at 6:30pm on Fridays: The Polar Express (Nov. 27), Prancer (Dec. 4), Dr. Seuss' How the Grinch Stole Christmas (Dec. 11) and Elf (Dec. 18). Live weekend performances take place on the Armory Stage Nov. 27 to Dec. 27, and the campus is lit after dark. The festival ends with a free New Year's Eve Celebration (Armory entertainment 8pm to midnight, Fountain of Light show at 9pm, and the New Year's at the Needle viewing just before midnight).
