About this adventure

Part of Tacoma Public Library's Up and Atom STEAM Days, where each week brings a different hands-on science, technology, engineering, art or math activity for school-age kids. This Tuesday-afternoon session at the Fern Hill Branch explores the physics and chemistry of freezing, melting and phase changes through ice-based investigations: young scientists test how salt, temperature and pressure change how fast ice melts and how strong it stays. The library lists it for Grades K-5 and Grades 6-8. Drop-in; no registration is shown.
