About this adventure
A holiday Up and Atom STEAM Day at the Fern Hill Branch that mixes paper crafts with beginner electrical engineering. Kids build simple paper circuits with copper tape, coin cell batteries and light-emitting diodes (LEDs), learning how electric current flows as they make their own custom holiday card that lights up. Tacoma Public Library lists the session for Grades K-5 and Grades 6-8; it runs 90 minutes on a Tuesday after school and no registration is shown.
