On the Saturday after Thanksgiving, Nov. 28, from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Jeff Friesen leads kids aged 7 to 11 and a parent through a diner-style menu. Pairs turn the stovetop into a flat-top to make double smash burgers with a homemade "shack" sauce, cut and season crispy french fries, whisk up buttermilk ranch for vegetables, and finish with Oreo cookie milkshakes made with homemade ice cream. Everything is hands-on, giving kids practice with real kitchen techniques in a relaxed setting. The fee is $130 per parent-and-child pair.
