About this adventure

The touring Great Train Show sets up for a weekend at the Gateway Convention Center in Collinsville the Saturday and Sunday after Thanksgiving. More than 200 tables of model trains, accessories and collectibles fill the hall alongside huge operating layouts, and the show runs free workshops and demonstrations plus kids' activities, including a riding train. Children 11 and under get in free and parking is free, which makes it an inexpensive outing for young train fans and their families; older kids who build layouts will find parts and ideas from national exhibitors. Plan on a couple of hours to see the layouts.
