About this adventure

For the ninth year, the Straz Center marks Martin Luther King Jr. Day with a free evening performance in its TECO Theater as part of Arts Legacy REMIX, its series celebrating Tampa Bay's cultures and local artists. This year's commemoration, Voices from the Movement, remembers Dr. King and the many voices and visionaries who helped pave the way for his work, through songs of faith, anthems of hope and spoken words, and invites the audience to sing along. It is a meaningful way for families with school-age children and teens to spend the holiday evening together and talk about the civil rights movement afterward. Admission is free, but seats are reserved: reservations open on Friday, December 18 at noon. The performance starts at 7:30 p.m. on the Monday of the holiday weekend.
