Pirate Water Taxi runs a 45-minute holiday cruise on the Hillsborough River during the Winter Village season, leaving from the Winter Village stop at Curtis Hixon Park (Stop #12). The family-friendly departures at 5:15, 6:15, 7:15 and 8:15 PM include holiday sing-alongs with snow flurries during "Let It Snow," a holiday host on board, views of downtown's lights and waterfront decorations, and a stop at the Elf on a Barge, where every child receives a present. Kids can write a letter to Santa and drop it in Tampa's only floating mail buoy. A later 9:15 PM happy-hour cruise is aimed at adults, so families should pick one of the earlier sailings.
