About this adventure
For its 125th anniversary the Virginia Zoo is offering Community Days on eleven November dates, when Hampton Roads residents can buy general admission for $12.50 instead of the regular price. It is a good chance for families from Virginia Beach, Norfolk, Chesapeake, Newport News, Hampton, Portsmouth, Suffolk, Williamsburg and the surrounding counties to spend a day walking the animal trails, riding past the African Village and stopping at the Run Wild! nature play area. Tickets must be bought online in advance, and at the gate each guest shows the ticket plus a valid ID with an address or a recent utility bill as proof of residency. The discount is for individual residents and their families only; schools, camps, groups and businesses are not eligible. Children under 16 must be with an adult.
