About this adventure

A volunteer cleanup along the creek and marsh near the Virginia Aquarium, open to families and groups. Volunteers spend about two hours outside picking up litter before it reaches the ocean, and staff explain how plastic bags, six-pack rings and cigarette butts harm fish, birds and marine animals. Advance registration is required for each cleanup, by noon on the Tuesday before. Volunteers under 18 cannot register alone: a parent signing up with a child registers as a group, with the parent as Team Captain giving the group name and headcount. Dress for mud and weather.
