About this adventure
Children paint a two-piece set of decorative ceramic plates for the Thanksgiving table: a 10-inch dinner plate and a 7-inch side or dessert plate. The class is in a Baker Hall Visitor Center classroom at Norfolk Botanical Garden, with sessions at 10 am, noon and 2 pm on both days of the weekend before Thanksgiving. It is recommended for ages 3 and up with some help from a chaperone. Each child needs a paid, pre-registered ticket, and each adult chaperone needs a registered ticket. Adults who want their own plates register a child ticket. The ticket includes daytime admission to the garden but not the evening Garden of Lights.
