About this adventure

The Jamestown Island area of Colonial National Historical Park, run by the National Park Service with Preservation Virginia. At the Glasshouse, near the first parking area past the entrance gate, costumed interpreters demonstrate glassblowing all day with the same techniques and tools glassblowers used in 1608. Glassblowing was English America's first industry. The visitor center is open for fee collection and the museum store, but its theater and exhibit areas are currently closed. Preservation Virginia charges a separate fee for its areas: the James Fort Site, the Archaearium, Memorial Church and the Dale House Cafe. Families with a 4th grader can get a free or discounted America the Beautiful pass.
