About this adventure
Virginia Beach's evening holiday parade on Atlantic Avenue at the Oceanfront. About 90 parade units travel north from 15th Street to 25th Street: giant balloons, marching bands, lighted floats, horses, fire trucks, dance groups and motorcycles, with Santa at the end. The parade steps off at 5:30 pm and lasts about two hours, so families can find a curb spot anywhere along the ten-block route; arrive early for the front row and dress warmly for the ocean breeze. Free and open to the public.
