About this adventure

A Newport News museum where families meet animals up close, explore immersive exhibits and hands-on activities, and walk an outdoor boardwalk (the boardwalk closes at 4:30 pm). Planetarium shows can be added to admission for $3: Legends of the Night Sky (10:30 am Tue/Thu/Sat), The Sky Tonight (12:30 pm weekends) and Stars of the Pharaohs (1:30 pm daily). Paid behind-the-scenes encounters include a bird of prey tour, an otter encounter, a visit with the white-tailed deer Artemis and Orion, and a cold-blooded-animals tour. SNAP and WIC households pay $5 per ticket through Museums for All (up to four tickets), and military, seniors and AAA members get $1 off.
