Could you be a postal clerk? In this gallery activity at the National Postal Museum, a volunteer challenges visitors to sort mail, deciding which letters will be delivered and which would be sent to the Dead Letter Office. Finish the challenge and leave with a prize. It runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Tuesdays about every other week: October 27, November 10 and 24, December 8 and 22, and January 5, 2027. The activity takes place in the museum's Moving the Mail Atrium, is free and is wheelchair accessible. No age range is given; the Smithsonian lists it under Kids & Families, Demonstrations and Gallery Talks & Tours.
