About this adventure
From late October into early November the Children's Museum of Atlanta displays an interactive Día de los Muertos altar on the CMA Stage, designed by local artist Natasha McDowell. Visiting families learn what the holiday means and why altars (ofrendas) are built to remember loved ones, and children can make small versions of their own altars to take home. It is a drop-in part of a regular museum day rather than a timed program, so it suits any age that enjoys a craft table, with grown-ups helping the youngest. Museum admission tickets are bought online.
