About this adventure

A homeschool art class at the Booth Western Art Museum in Cartersville for students ages 7 to 12. Students imagine the view of a bird in flight and build an aerial sculpture: a landscape seen from above, composed from an unexpected mix of materials and inspired by the work of Booth artists Arturo Chávez and Shonto Begay. Like every Home School Friday class, it includes a tour of the related artwork in the galleries, so students see the pieces that inspired the project. The class lasts 90 minutes on a Friday afternoon, and children are dropped off and picked up at the museum's Borderlands Classroom. Registration is required by Friday, October 30, and the class needs at least 10 students to run. The fee is per student, with a discount for museum members.
