Gwinnett Ballet Theatre's 45th annual Nutcracker plays the Gas South Theater in Duluth from December 5 to 20, 2026, with a live orchestra at every performance. Lori Zamzow-Wire's production brings together GBT's professional dancers and students of Sugarloaf Youth Ballet to tell Clara's Christmas Eve dream, from the Mouse King battle to the Land of Snow and the Kingdom of the Sweets. Extras for families include a string quartet in the lobby before the show and photos with dancers before and after each performance. Run time is 2 hours 15 minutes with one intermission; the company calls it great for all ages. The 11:30 a.m. show on Friday, December 11 is sensory-friendly.
