About this adventure

At the Neighborhood Christmas Train Experience in Norcross, kids don't just watch the trains, they run them. Now in its fifth year, this hands-on tradition fills thousands of square feet with snowy villages and Lionel layouts. Young engineers put on caps and operate Polar Express and Hogwarts Express trains in the Engineer Train Center. Families explore the Brick Whistlestop, an all-LEGO Christmas city built by the Peach Atlanta LEGO User Group. Kids 3 and up pick a free Hot Wheels car to take home. Timed entry is capped at 125 guests every 30 minutes, so it never feels crowded. Special nights include live jazz, a Friday pajama party, a Taylor Swift-themed party on Sun Dec 13, and a New Year's Eve-Day celebration. Tickets are $8; children 2 and under are free. A portion of every ticket supports Neighborhood Cooperative Ministries, serving Gwinnett families in need. Dates and hours (2026): Sat Dec 12 10 AM-8 PM; Sun Dec 13 2-7 PM; Fri Dec 18 4-9 PM; Sat Dec 19 10 AM-8 PM; Sun Dec 20 2-7 PM; Thu Dec 31 9 AM-3 PM.
