About this adventure
Mr. and Mrs. Claus ride the museum's SRM Santa Express and pull in at Building 2 at 11:00 a.m. sharp to open the holiday season at the Southeastern Railway Museum in Duluth. After the arrival, families can have holiday portraits taken by the museum's photographer (the page suggests wearing your holiday best), pick up treats, ride the trains and wander through the decorated exhibit buildings full of locomotives and rail cars. Regular museum admission includes one ride on either the historic train or the smaller park train; historic-train departures run through the late morning and afternoon, and extra ride tickets are sold at the ticket booth or online. Rides depend on crew availability and safe operating conditions. The museum bills the day as fun for kids of all ages, so toddlers who love trains and older children alike will find plenty to look at. Come a little before 11 to see the Santa train roll in.
