About this adventure

Avenue East Cobb, the open-air shopping center on Roswell Road in East Cobb, kicks off its holiday season with a free tree-lighting evening on The Plaza. From 5 to 6:45 p.m. an Activity Row offers face painting, a festive photo op, roaming entertainers, a bounce house and a separate toddler area with a mini bounce house and soft play, while The Taylor Harlow Band plays live music from 5 p.m. At 6:45 Santa arrives on stage, at 6:50 the crowd counts down together, and at 7 p.m. the center's 26-foot Christmas tree is lit. The two-hour format and the toddler zone make it manageable for families with small children, and arriving early gives kids time for the activities before Santa appears. Beer and cocktail bars run by center restaurants are also on site for grown-ups.
