7th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting — Downtown Dallas, GA

About this adventure

Downtown Dallas, the Paulding County seat west of Atlanta, holds its seventh annual Christmas tree lighting on the courthouse square on Saturday, November 21, from 4 to 7 p.m. The afternoon builds toward a countdown to lighting the downtown tree, with live Christmas music and a fireworks show to finish. Organizers describe downtown as coming alive like a holiday movie set and invite families to bring everyone; the early start means even younger children can enjoy the countdown and fireworks and still get home at a reasonable hour. Downtown shops and restaurants around the square are a short walk away for dinner afterward. The event is presented by Downtown Dallas; no ticket or registration is mentioned, so plan to arrive early for a spot near the tree and allow time for parking around the square.
