The Georgia Ballet performs The Nutcracker at the Jennie T. Anderson Theatre in Marietta from December 17 to 22, 2026, with Tchaikovsky's score played live by The Georgia Ballet Orchestra, choreography by Daet Rodriguez and more than 60 local children in the cast. Audiences follow Clara from the holiday party through the battle of toy soldiers and mice, the winter forest and the Sugar Plum Fairy's Land of Sweets. The opening Thursday, December 17 performance at 7 p.m. is a 1-hour-15-minute sensory-friendly presentation with a smaller audience and softened music and lighting — a good first ballet for young or sensory-sensitive children. Tickets through OvationTix.
