Acworth starts its holiday season with Santa's Arrival in Historic Downtown Acworth on Friday, December 4, 2026. The City of Acworth hosts the evening with its partner NorthStar Church: festivities begin at 6 p.m., Santa is due at 6:30, and live performances and activities continue until 8:30. Mayor Tommy Allegood reads The Night Before Christmas, the tree on the Plaza behind Henry's is lit, and there are candy canes with Santa's elves. Pictures with Santa are free and start at 6:45 p.m., but no photographer is on site, so families should bring their own camera. The city invites the entire family and takes questions at the Parks and Recreation office.
