About this adventure
Buford School of Ballet's 31st annual Christmas program, Star of Wonder, comes to the Gas South Theater in Duluth the weekend before Thanksgiving. The show combines excerpts from The Nutcracker with the school's own choreographed piece The Advent Wreath and a staged telling of the Nativity, so it suits families who want a faith-centered holiday performance alongside familiar Nutcracker music. Seven performances run Thursday to Sunday, including a 10 a.m. Saturday show and afternoon matinees that are easier for young children. Dancers are the school's students, which makes it a popular outing for families of young ballet students. Everyone aged 2 and older needs a ticket; parking is paid and the venue is cashless.
