About this adventure
The George Washington Carver Museum, Cultural and Genealogy Center partners with Capital Contemporary Ballet and ATX Artists for Social Impact on Dance For All, a free year-long after-school ballet program for students ages 10 to 14. Classes meet Mondays and Wednesdays from 3:15 to 4:45 p.m. at the Carver from October 2026 through May 5, 2027, with 20 spots in total. It is aimed at young dancers who would otherwise face cost or access barriers to ballet training. Students do not need leotards or tights: comfortable, fitted clothes they can move in are fine, with ballet shoes, socks or bare feet, hair pulled back, a reusable water bottle and a notebook. Interested families contact the Carver education team to ask about a spot.
