EmilyAnn Theatre & Gardens in Wimberley turns its hilltop grounds into a walk-through Trail of Lights for the holidays, opening November 28 with a tree lighting at the hilltop. Most nights Santa 'flies in from the North Pole' to greet children at his house, and live entertainment plays on the stage beside the yule log, where visitors get free marshmallows and hot chocolate. Special nights add a train ride, Santa visits and shows such as A Wimberley Christmas Carol and Journey to Bethlehem. Concessions sell hot dogs, Frito pie and s'mores, and the entrance store sells light-up toys. Hours: Fridays and Saturdays 6–10 pm, other nights 6–9 pm; Dec 18–23 and Dec 26 until 10 pm; Dec 24 and 25 walking trail only, 6–9 pm. Admission is free with a suggested donation of $20 per family.
