About this adventure

The Light Park sets up a mile-long drive-through Christmas light show in the Dell Diamond parking lot in Round Rock. Families stay in the car the whole time: you join the line, show your ticket inside the entry tent, switch off the headlights and tune the car radio to the station given on site, then roll at about 3 mph past millions of lights synchronized to music, with a DJ on the decks. Time in the park depends on traffic, and weekdays are usually less crowded. Snacks, drinks, light wands and magic glasses are sold before the show, and there is a re-buckling area at the exit. One ticket covers the whole car regardless of how many people ride in it; limos, buses and trailers are not allowed. The show is open seven days a week and runs rain or shine, which makes it an easy option for families with babies, toddlers or anyone who would rather not walk a light trail in cold weather.
