About this adventure

Beyond Words Junior is Howard County Library System's monthly inclusive class for children aged 6 to 11 with developmental and intellectual disabilities, and December's session at the Savage Branch has a 'Holiday Hangout' theme. Children rotate with their adult through five activity stations — motor skills, arts and crafts, cognitive skills (puzzles and problem solving), movement games for balance and gross-motor skills, and a sensory station designed to calm and regulate — and can stay for as long or as short a time as works for them. A caregiver must stay with the child throughout. The hour-long session is held in the Albert Einstein Classroom on a Thursday evening. Registration is required and opens November 10.
