About this adventure
My First Maryland Nutcracker is a 50-minute, child-sized version of the holiday ballet with a Maryland twist (the Arts Council calls it Old Bay sprinkled), danced by Ballet Embody, a contemporary ballet company from Carroll County founded in 2019. The show is pitched at young children, ages 6 and under in particular, as a first taste of the Nutcracker. After the performance ticket holders are invited onstage for a $5 group photo-op and meet-and-greet with the characters; one photo ticket covers a family, and volunteers help take pictures on families' own devices (no professional photographer). Tickets are $10 to $30.
