The Columbia Ice Rink, run by Columbia Association next to Oakland Mills Village Center, holds public ice skating sessions every day. Sessions are typically two hours long, and skaters can join at any time after a session starts. Rental skates run from toddler size 6 to adult size 14, with no half sizes. Skating aids for adults and children are available first come, first served for beginners. Helmets are highly recommended for children 6 and younger and all beginners, but the rink does not provide them. On Friday nights a Teen Night adds a DJ and lights; check the calendar for times. No outside food is allowed.
