Piney Orchard Ice Arena on Piney Orchard Parkway in Odenton is an indoor rink with two NHL-sized sheets of ice, so it stays open for skating all year rather than only in winter. Anne Arundel County Recreation and Parks lists it as the county's indoor skating option next to the seasonal outdoor rinks at Quiet Waters Park and Glen Burnie Town Center. Besides public skate sessions the arena runs a Learn to Skate program (a 2026–2027 brochure is posted on its site), figure skating freestyle sessions, stick-and-puck times and youth hockey, and it is home ice for the Maryland Black Bears junior hockey team, whose games families can also watch. There is a concession area for snacks and drinks, and the rink books birthday parties. Public skate times change week to week and are posted on the rink's online public-skate calendar rather than as fixed hours, so check it before driving over; the rink says paying online in advance is cheaper than paying at the door.
