- Lincoln Public Library with Commonwealth Ballet Company
A Saturday-morning reading of The Nutcracker aimed at young children, with dancers from the Commonwealth Ballet Company in costume acting out parts of the story as it is read. After the reading, children get to meet the dancers up close. It is a gentle first introduction to the ballet for preschoolers and early elementary kids, and a good warm-up before seeing a full performance. The hour runs 10:30 to 11:30 am in the Tarbell Room; the library lists it for all ages with no registration required.
