Over Thanksgiving weekend, Discovery Museum in Acton turns a room into an ever-changing blanket fort that visitors build together. Kids engineer with repurposed and recycled materials such as clothespins, sheets and rope, testing what holds up, what collapses and how to make a doorway, and the structure keeps evolving as each family adds to it. It is open-ended building that works for toddlers with help and for older kids who want to tackle bigger spans. The activity runs 10:00 am to 3:00 pm Friday through Sunday, November 27-29, and again Tuesday, December 1 from 10:00 am to noon, and is free with museum admission.
