North River Wildlife Sanctuary staff lead a free dusk walk in Wompatuck State Park in Hingham to listen for owls such as Great Horned Owls and Eastern Screech-Owls. The group visits spots where owls have recently been seen or heard; sightings are never guaranteed, but the evening sounds of the woods are part of the fun. The program is free thanks to the Friends of Wompatuck and is open to adults and families with children of all ages. It runs 90 minutes on a Tuesday evening; dress for the weather, wear sturdy walking shoes, and park at the park's Visitor Center.
