Families act as animal caretakers for the late afternoon at Mass Audubon's Joppa Flats Education Center in Newburyport. They sort, identify and feed live marine creatures in the aquarium tanks, such as periwinkles, minnows and Jonah crabs. The program runs after hours when the center is closed to the public and takes place entirely indoors. Two themed sessions: Rocky Shore Inhabitants (Oct 13) and Sandy Beach Dwellers (Oct 27). Instructor: Lisa Hutchings, Lead Education Coordinator.
