About this adventure
A short guided family hike up the Drumlin at Mass Audubon's Drumlin Farm in Lincoln, through layers of changing foliage to the autumn views at the top. Along the way children gather leaves, compare the different kinds and learn how and why leaves change color. Back down, the group shares a story time with Lois Ehlert's picture book Leaf Man and then makes a leaf-inspired craft to take home. Designed for families with children 5 to 12. Expect paved paths plus dirt and wooded trails with an incline; wear comfortable shoes and weather-appropriate clothing and bring a water bottle. Meet in front of the Nature Center. Registration is required; every participant, adult or child, pays the same fee.
