Boston Seaport's seasonal lighting celebration on Seaport Common, presented by Constant Contact, takes place on the evening of Friday, December 4, from 6:00 to 7:30 pm. The organizers promise holiday music and an appearance by Betty the Yeti, the Seaport's furry holiday mascot whom children hunt for around the neighborhood all season, with more details still to be announced. It is a free, outdoor, stand-and-watch event, so dress for the waterfront cold; strollers are easiest near the edges of the crowd. The Snowport Holiday Market tent, with its LEGO crafting corner and food vendors, is a short walk away on Seaport Boulevard and stays open until 9 pm on Fridays, which makes it easy to pair the two.
