A family nature journaling session at Mass Audubon's Boston Nature Center in Mattapan. Participants slow down, look closely and sketch or write about what they find, guided by seasonal prompts about local plants, animal signs and changes in the landscape. All experience levels are welcome, from children trying a journal for the first time to adults who have kept one for years, and journals, pencils and other supplies can be borrowed. The program meets inside the Nature Center and includes a short outdoor portion on flat trails, so wear comfortable footwear and dress for the weather. Parking, bathrooms and a water bottle filling station are on site. Offered on two Sunday mornings, December 6 and January 3.
