Children learn to use a real science tool, the pipette, in this drop-in art-and-science session at Discovery Museum in Acton. Using watercolors, they practise drawing up and releasing liquid, watch how the paint spreads and reacts on different materials, and finish with a piece of drip artwork to take home. The activity suits preschoolers and young school-age children who are ready to squeeze a dropper with some help from a grown-up. It runs from 10am to noon on a Friday morning inside the museum and is included with general admission, so there is nothing extra to book beyond the museum ticket. Dress for paint: watercolors can drip.
