North Shore Music Theatre

North Shore Music Theatre's own musical adaptation of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol returns to the Beverly theatre-in-the-round for its 2026 run, December 3 to 23. The production, created for NSMT and staged every holiday season since 1989, follows Ebenezer Scrooge through his ghostly night journeys and is threaded with traditional carols such as God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen and We Wish You a Merry Christmas; David Coffee returns for his 32nd year as Scrooge. The show runs about 2 hours 20 minutes with an intermission. The theatre's advisory notes sudden loud noises, strobing and moving lights, stage fog and dark imagery and says it is not recommended for young children; no one under age 4 is admitted, including babes in arms. Children 4-18 get 50% off full-price tickets for Dec 4-23 performances. A good pick for school-age kids and teens who can sit through a full-length evening or matinee show.
