About this adventure

The Plymouth Philharmonic Orchestra's annual holiday pops program, Hometown Holiday, fills Plymouth Memorial Hall over one December weekend with four performances. Conductor Steven Karidoyanes leads the orchestra and the PCIS Chorus through favorite seasonal tunes, tenor Matthew Anderson sings Winter Wonderland, Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas and selections from Handel's Messiah, and this year the program marks the 80th anniversary of It's a Wonderful Life with music from the film before closing on an Auld Lang Syne sing-along. Children can take part in The March of the Toys, the Phil's community parade of giving: bring an unwrapped gift to add to the procession, which benefits the Children's Holiday Fund. The afternoon shows are the easiest fit for young children; the Phil says these concerts have sold out well before Thanksgiving in past years.
