About this adventure

The Strafford Wind Symphony, a volunteer community band of hobbyist and professional musicians from the Seacoast and southern Maine, has played a holiday concert in Rochester for more than three decades. This year's program, titled Unwrapped: The Joy of Music, The Spirit of Giving, mixes familiar holiday classics with a few surprise numbers, performed in the 1908 Rochester Opera House with its unusual movable orchestra floor. It is an easy first concert for children: a full wind band, well-known tunes and an evening start, and children 12 and under get in free. Half of the proceeds go to Share Fund, a local fund that helps neighbors in need. Doors and concessions open half an hour before the music starts.
