On Sundays from the last Sunday of April through the second Sunday of November, Memorial Drive in Cambridge is closed to cars from 11 am to 7 pm alongside the Charles River, creating Riverbend Park for walking, biking, scooting and play. For the 2026 season, because of construction for the Memorial Drive Greenway Improvements Phase III, the closure applies only from JFK Street to Western Avenue; Gerry's Landing Road to JFK Street is not part of the park in 2026 and traffic continues there. Seasonal dates and times are otherwise unchanged. The Charles River Conservancy page directs readers to the City of Cambridge and DCR websites for more information.

What was checked & what still needs confirmation
Specific calendar dates are not printed; occurrence dates are computed from 'last Sunday of April through the second Sunday of November' for 2026. DCR's own pages (mass.gov) returned 403 so the closure could not be confirmed on the operator's site. Phone is the Conservancy office number.
