Wakefield Track and Field Boosters

The Wakefield Track and Field Boosters host this Thanksgiving-morning 5K around Lake Quannapowitt, timed to finish in time for the town football game or putting the turkey in the oven. The morning opens at 7:30 am with a Kids' Fun Run of about one mile for children 10 and under, followed by a costume contest, a group warm-up and the timed 5K at 8:00 am. Bring reusable water bottles; the town water truck refills them on site. Bibs are picked up at The Savings Bank Community Room, 357 Main Street, on Saturday November 21 (8-10 am), Sunday November 22 (1-3 pm), Monday November 23 (6-8 pm) and Wednesday November 25 (11:30 am-3 pm), or on race day from 6:30 to 7:45 am at the red Wakefield Warriors tents. Online prices go up by a few dollars on race day. Proceeds support Wakefield Memorial High School cross country and track and field.
