MetroRock's indoor climbing gym in Everett runs weekly recreational climbing clubs for children who have finished the gym's introductory Crash Course and want to keep climbing without joining a team. Climbing Club 1, for kids 6 to 9, meets Wednesdays from 4 to 5:30pm; Climbing Club 2, for ages 10 to 12, meets Wednesdays from 5:30 to 7pm. Both started September 9 and continue through the school year. Coaches build on the Crash Course skills in what the gym calls a supportive, noncompetitive environment focused on growth, exploration and fun, and the clubs are also the usual route into the gym's Junior, Training and Development teams. Tuition is $185 per month. MetroRock offers two tiers of financial aid (40% or 60% off monthly youth dues) through an application form. Parking is on site, and the gym runs a shuttle van from Wellington Station on the Orange Line; call on arrival to request pickup.
