Rowan Public Library Headquarters in downtown Salisbury offers an evening crochet class for young people ages 11 to 14. Library staff spend an hour teaching crochet basics and helping each participant one on one; all ability levels are welcome, and those who already crochet can bring a current project for help or simply for company. All materials are provided, so beginners do not need to buy yarn or hooks. The class runs from 6 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 3. Questions go to Beth Bentley at 704-216-8269.
